So, on a happier note than my last post (locked to friends only), here's what my October looks like in review! :)

From the 1st through the 10th I was working flat-out on writing an academic article, so there was no fic. There was however a very successful academic article draft, which was duly sent off to my PhD dissertation adviser. So that was good. :)

But from the 10th onwards there has been fic. Quite a lot, actually, as those of you who have been subjected to it on your friendslist are no doubt well aware! 33 fics and 35,826 words in all.

I don't know if I'll be able to keep to that pace this next month - for one thing, I may need to find a new flat, and for another, I should start writing another academic article - but I will definitely keep writing. My AO3 account is up to 75 fics (72 of which are UK Politics), and I'd love to get it up to 100 by Christmas.

Anyway, for fun and giggles, here's some statistics on the October haul. Of the 33 fics, Michael Gove played a starring role in 8 (thanks largely to the early-October Gove party), and managed to sleep with just about everyone. I wrote my second, third, and fourth New Labour fics. 7 fics involved threesomes (or moresomes). The Jeremy Browne/William Hague ongoing saga got three new installments (and hints in another fic). There was a trilogy surrounding the Liam Fox/Adam Werritty scandal. My 50-fic party at the meme brought codas to both Charity and In Another Life. And I finally wrote a crossover between politics and Doctor Who, which, let's face it, was going to happen sooner or later.

And the list itself, da da da dum.

I wish I could write as much as you do. It sucks to be able to write only when my mind thinks it would be nice to do so. I can't just sit down and write. It drives me crazy sometimes.

I can't always sit down and write. If I'm not in the mood, nothing in the world could bring the words. But I happen to be in the mood a lot. :)

Here's hoping your mind thinks it would be nice to write often from now on! <3

Thank you! It always depends on the general situation. If I'm under a lot of stress, there's NO writing AT ALL possible. I get ideas, sometimes, but I lack the time to actually write, which I think is far worse than having no ideas in the first place somehow...

I think I tend to write more under stress, oddly enough. Although it depends. I guess everyone's different!

Wowza! That's a hell of a lot of fics! Major respect to you for contributing so much awesomeness to the meme!

I've read all but about 2 or 3 of these, and totally loved them all. Your writing has both quantity and quality.

And you filled a few of my prompts, so thank you for that! :D

My new goal is to get you to combine Haguefest and Tonyfest with some Hague/Blair, because that would be amazing. ;)
